If you’re looking at wedding venues in Omaha, Nebraska, Villa Aletta is one you’ve probably come across—and for good reason.
Matt and I have photographed weddings at Villa Aletta over the years, and one of the things we appreciate most about this venue is how much you can do without ever having to leave the property.
You can get ready, have your ceremony, take family and wedding party photos, sneak away for portraits, celebrate at your reception and dance the night away all in one place.
And from a wedding photographer’s perspective, there are plenty of different areas to work with throughout the day.

One of the most unique features of Villa Aletta is its ability to host weddings beautifully in every season.
Indoor and Outdoor Ceremony Options for Any Time of Year

Outdoor Wedding Ceremonies with Private Scenic Views
The outdoor ceremony space is probably one of the biggest reasons we enjoy photographing weddings at Villa Aletta.
It’s beautiful throughout different times of the year.
Nebraska can look completely different depending on when you get married, and the trees and landscaping surrounding the ceremony area allow the space to change with the seasons while still giving couples a beautiful backdrop.
We also love that the ceremony location becomes another portrait location later in the day.
Once guests have moved toward cocktail hour or the reception, we can come back and use the ceremony area and surrounding trees for couple portraits without having to take you away from your wedding for a long period of time.
And that is ALWAYS a win in our book.
You hired us to photograph your wedding—not steal you away from it for two hours.
Elegant Indoor Weddings by the Fireplace
Nebraska weather can be unpredictable — and that’s where Villa Aletta truly shines.
The indoor ceremony space features a beautiful fireplace that creates a romantic, timeless focal point. It’s ideal for winter weddings or for couples who simply love the cozy elegance of an indoor celebration.
Having both indoor and outdoor wedding ceremony options in Omaha makes Villa Aletta an incredibly flexible venue year-round.
Spacious Getting-Ready Suites Designed for Comfort
The getting-ready experience sets the tone for the entire day — and Villa Aletta’s suites are thoughtfully designed with that in mind.
The bridal and groom suites offer:
- Plenty of room for the wedding party
- Space for hair and makeup artists
- Comfortable areas to relax before the ceremony
- Natural light for beautiful detail photos
There’s room for vendors to work efficiently without feeling crowded, which keeps the morning calm and organized.
For couples who value a smooth start to their wedding day, these suites are a major plus.
A Cozy Indoor Reception Space
After an outdoor ceremony, everyone can head inside and settle into a reception space that feels warm and cozy.
Having the ceremony and reception at the same venue also keeps the wedding day moving.
There isn't a big gap where guests have to figure out where they're going next, and you aren't spending part of your photography timeline driving across Omaha.
From our side of things, that gives us more time to photograph the people and moments that actually matter.
The hugs.
The reactions during speeches.
Grandparents talking at their tables.
Your friends being ridiculous on the dance floor.
All of those little moments happening around you while you're busy living your wedding day.
A Convenient Location for Out-of-Town Guests
Located in northwest Omaha, Villa Aletta is in a prime area for guests traveling in.
There are:
- Nearby lodging options
- A variety of restaurants
- Golf courses and entertainment
- Easy access to major roads
For couples with family and friends coming from out of town, this makes planning so much easier. Guests can turn your wedding into a full weekend experience — enjoying everything the area has to offer while celebrating with you.
When searching for a conveniently located wedding venue in Omaha, Nebraska, Villa Aletta checks every box.
Is Villa Aletta Right for Your Wedding?
If you want an Omaha wedding venue where you can spend most or all of your wedding day in one location, Villa Aletta is definitely worth touring.
It can be especially appealing if you're looking for:
An outdoor ceremony space surrounded by trees
Indoor reception space
An open getting-ready area
Multiple portrait locations on the property
Beautiful architecture
An all-in-one wedding venue
A location convenient for Omaha-area guests and hotels
A venue team experienced with weddings
But our biggest advice when you're choosing ANY wedding venue?
Think beyond how it looks when it's completely empty.
Imagine your actual wedding day there.
Where will you get ready? Where will your family be? What happens if it rains? Where will guests go between the ceremony and reception? How much traveling will you have to do? And most importantly—does the space feel like somewhere you can actually relax and enjoy being married?
Those things matter just as much as having a pretty ceremony backdrop.
Unmatched Staff and Attention to Detail
We also have to talk about the people behind the venue.
The staff at Villa Aletta has always been amazing when we've photographed there.
As wedding photographers, we work closely with venue teams throughout the entire day. We're constantly communicating about timelines, ceremony timing, entrances, dinner, speeches, dances and all the little things happening behind the scenes.
Having a venue team that works well with the other vendors makes a difference.
Couples might not see all of that communication happening—and that's kind of the point.
You should be able to enjoy your wedding while the people you've hired handle the logistics.
What If Nebraska Weather Changes the Plan?
If you've lived in Nebraska for five minutes, you already know where we're going with this. 😂
Nebraska weather does whatever Nebraska weather wants.
Outdoor weddings are beautiful, but we always recommend thinking about your backup plan when you're touring venues.
One of the things we like about Villa Aletta is having an indoor space right there on the property.
And from the photography side, weather changing doesn't mean we're suddenly out of options.
We photograph weddings in direct sun, clouds, rain, dark churches, reception halls and just about everything Nebraska can throw at us.
Your wedding photos shouldn't depend on having a perfectly sunny 72-degree day.
Planning a Villa Aletta Wedding?
If you're planning a wedding at Villa Aletta, we'd love to hear what you're dreaming up.
We're Kinsey and Matt, the married photography team behind Nixon Photography. We've photographed weddings throughout Omaha and Nebraska for years, and we're there for much more than showing up with cameras.
We help our couples build their photography timeline, work through family photo lists, prepare for different lighting and weather situations and keep things moving on the wedding day—while still leaving room for you to actually experience it.
Because your wedding isn't supposed to feel like an eight-hour photoshoot.
It's your wedding.
We'll make sure you have the photographs to remember it.
