Ashley and Logan’s wedding day..
felt like one of those days you don’t have to force anything.
It was crazy warm for a March wedding in Omaha, Nebraska. Like full-on 80–90 degrees in March — and the whole day just felt easy in the best way.
They were surrounded by their people from the start. Ashley had her parents, her sisters, her college friends all around her. Logan was with his parents and his close friends.
It wasn’t chaotic or rushed… just steady. Like everyone knew exactly why they were there.
There weren’t really nerves
At one point Ashley said the only thing she was feeling was that her feet hurt.
Not nervous to marry him. Just ready.
Before the ceremony, we stepped away for their private vows and first touch, and I’ll never forget how much they just… laughed and giggled in excitement.
Not awkward, not forced — just genuinely excited to be in the same space together.
Like “we finally made it here” kind of laughter.
Logan talked about wanting to grow not just old, but whole with her.
About staying curious about who she is even after a lifetime together.
About loving her fiercely, even when life gets unexpected.
And Ashley talked about walking alongside him through everything.
Being his partner and his friend in it all.
There was a depth to it, but it never felt heavy. It just felt real.
And knowing part of their story — how when they met she had just lost someone really important in her life — you could feel how much it meant that he showed up for her in those moments. That kind of love doesn’t need to be put on for a wedding day. It’s already there.
By the time we moved into the ceremony at the Leo Ballroom in Omaha, Neb. , it all just carried right into that space.
The room itself has this way of holding a moment. The marble, the height, the way it feels grand but still close—it doesn’t compete with what’s happening, it just lets it be what it is. And their ceremony fit right into that. Nothing overdone. Just them.
Laruen V. Officiant
Lauren did such a good job capturing who they are without overcomplicating anything, and the room just kind of wrapped around it all.
First Kiss Bubble
After their first kiss, they walked back up the aisle and didn’t really come out of that moment. Even when we stepped into the marble stairwell right after, they were still smiling, still leaning into each other, still whispering things back and forth like no one else was around.
Those are always my favorite transitions in a day—the in-between moments where nothing is being asked of them anymore and they just get to exist in it.
And from there, the rest of the day just kept building on that same feeling.
Golden Hour
Later on, we stepped outside for sunset over by the Central High School stairs. It was just the four of us, and everything slowed down again for a minute. No big direction, no overthinking—they just leaned into each other and stayed there.
That same feeling from the morning… from their vows… it was still there.

Matt and I loved to see that
Ashley and Logan were surrounded by their people.
They were completely themselves.
And they never really stopped smiling at each other.
It wasn’t a day that needed to be perfect.
It was just a day where everything felt right.
Those are the weddings we feel we are called to be a part of.
Congrats again to Ashley and Logan for swiping right on your love. Matt and I are so thankful for your friendship and cannot wait to see where this new season of Love takes you two.
