Let's get to know each other

About Kinsey Nixon-Bay, Nebraska based photographer

I’m here for the real stuff—the joyful chaos, the quiet moments, and the laughter that makes your eyes crinkle. With over 17 years of experience, this isn’t a hobby or a side gig—it’s my full-time passion and purpose. I’m fully here for you, every step of the way.

You deserve someone you can trust to guide you, calm your nerves, and capture your story with care. Whether you’re eloping on a mountaintop, dancing barefoot in your backyard, or celebrating with everyone you love—I’m all in.

My space is safe, inclusive, and welcoming to all humans—LGBTQ+ affirming, body-positive, and full of celebration for exactly who you are.

This is more than photography. It’s your legacy. The Force is strong with your love… and I can’t wait to tell its story.

I’m Matthew Bay

second shooter, science teacher, and honorary groomsman for life

- Kinsey’s husband and wedding-day sidekick.

When I’m not teaching high school science, I’m carrying gear, pinning boutonnieres, and capturing those candid, in-between moments that make your day feel real and unforgettable. I’ve recently fallen in love with shooting 35mm film—there’s something about the blend of science and beauty in film that speaks to me. The process is slower, more intentional, and adds a nostalgic depth that digital just can’t replicate.

I loved being a groomsman alongside my closest friends, and now I get to relive that energy at every wedding—helping out, cheering people on, and celebrating the good stuff. Being a second shooter lets me witness love stories as they unfold, and honestly, it never feels like work—especially when I get to spend the day with my favorite person (that’s Kinsey) doing something that brings people joy.

"How wonderful to be who I am, made out of earth and water, my own thoughts, my own fingerprints — all that glorious, temporary stuff."
